Ourstory.
From 21 founding members in 2014 to nearly 100 young players and competitive squads in every age group.
Strikers Football Academy was founded in November 2014. Its founder, and president of the board to this day, is Mr Ioannis Maleoglou; 21 members signed the club’s founding declaration.
The club’s first colours were blue and black stripes. After the first two seasons, today’s bordeaux and light blue were chosen. The very first name, dropped almost immediately, was “Tsakalakia” (Little Jackals).
Our first home was the Planet sports complex. In September 2015 the academy moved to the Episkyron facilities, known today as Athletic Park.

Our
home ground.
The academy’s first base was the Planet complex in Thermi. Very soon, before our first players had even registered, we moved to the Episkyron sports centre in Pylaia, at 11 Antoni Tritsi Street, opposite the PAOK Sports Arena. The centre came under new management in 2018–19 and has been called Athletic Park since 2019–20.
Every one of our groups trains there, and we play most of our matches there too. It is easy to reach from across East Thessaloniki, has a large car park, and is one of our real strengths.
